Competitions, activities and heaps of fun – find out what the PlayStation Community got up to in February 2011 in the first of a new monthly feature on eu.playstation.com.
Love was in the air during February in the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com. As part of our Valentine's Day celebrations, the PlayStation Community shared virtual cards full of hearts and friendship using snapshots taken from PlayStation Home.
Staying with PS Home, members were invited to a special "pink hair" party hosted in the Valentine's themed SingStar Rooms.
Inspired by LittleBigPlanet 2
Sackboy has officially been crowned King of the Forums. LittleBigPlanet 2 fun nights, design competitions, decorated pods and snowy levels kept the fans entertained at community.eu.playstation.com.
A very special event involving the use of the LittleBigMap saw players use their PlayStation acumen as well as general knowledge to decipher clues and find all the hidden Sackboys on the map. If you missed it first time around, the event returns in March 2011.
Highlighting the creativity shown by PlayStation Community members, English member Chimpanzee's pinball-inspired level has received more than 6,000 hearts. Check it out on LBP.me and select Add to queue to play it yourself in-game.
French member junJPN has conjured up the surprising Yeti pod, which you can view at community.eu.playstation.com, while Spanish user DarkyzEzeriel came up with an aquatic and colourful planet design, also at community.eu.playstation.com.
And there's more. Russian member card_in has crafted perhaps the ultimate Sackboy tribute, cleverly sculpting a clay representation of the iconic PlayStation character and posting the result on community.eu.playstation.com. Think you can do better? Then head over to community.eu.playstation.com and share your creations with the PlayStation Community now.
The winners of the PlayStation Community Awards will be revealed on 7 March 2011. The greatest games, services, content and community activity of 2010 will be highlighted and will pave the way for a great 2011, which has already got off to a scintillating start thanks to the release of DC Universe Online and Killzone 3.
