Mortal Kombat, SOCOM: Special Forces... and Easter egg hunts? Discover how all this and more kept the PlayStation Community entertained.

Community spirit

The PlayStation Community spirit was thriving during the Easter break in April 2011 with a series of fun events, classic games and discussions organised on the official PlayStation Forums and social media sites such as Facebook. Easter egg hunts, riddles and other activities engaged everyone with some terrific entertainment - and demonstrated the PlayStation Community's great sense of solidarity.

Players also had the chance to reveal their favourite Mortal Kombat Fatalities, as well as their expectations of SOCOM: Special Forces, in preparation for fun filled evenings of brutal beat 'em up combos and tactical warfare.

Become a superstar, prepare for a superhero and enjoy a super anniversary

In May 2011 the best singers from the PlayStation Community will be chosen in the SingStar Euro Contest 2011. Each forum will select the local songs and performers who will represent their community in an exciting European competition.

There's already a buzz of expectation sparking up in our inFamous forums, as superpowered sequel inFamous 2 edges closer to its summer 2011 release. Why not join the electric atmosphere of anticipation and get chatting with other fans?

You can also join in the celebration of ModNation Racers' first anniversary, with a fantastic course of festivities and challenges where you can win some excellent prizes.

Creativity for all!

We love to shine a spotlight on the varied talents of the creative PlayStation Community. This time one of the many highlights came from French user Nehta, who created an egg-cellent PlayStation themed image that was the perfect illustration for our community events during the Easter break.

Other users turned their artistic hands to some doodled avatars, such as a Heavy Rain inspired effort from Babka Tapka (Russia), a well crafted anime style illustration by rake82 (Spain) and a stylised pen drawing by Dutch user DarkCrusaderBE.

Fancy showing off your creative side in another fun challenge? Then why not design your very own Portable ID theme in the official PlayStation Forums? Your design must be original and can even feature elements or ideas from the PlayStation Community. Our favourite designs will be shared with everyone, so make sure you don't miss this brilliant opportunity to reveal your imaginative creations with other fans.

The PlayStation Community is a fun and safe environment that is constantly evolving. Join in now by visiting the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com and sign in using your PlayStation Sign-In ID and password.
