Peek behind the curtain of the PS3 adventure that'll leave your head spinning.
Actors are locked in intense rehearsals, the set design is being finalised and before too long the theatre will be filled with the excited murmuring of an expectant audience. Yes, Japan Studio's magical fairy tale Puppeteer will tread the boards on PlayStation 3 in September 2013, and you can get a sneak preview of its strange, dark fantasy by watching the brand new story trailer over at PlayStation.Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com.
Here are some of the reasons why it'll take the stage by storm when the curtain is raised.
As you'll see when you watch the latest Puppeteer trailer, the Moon Bear King is a bad-tempered so-and-so who never rests until he's made everyone's day a misery. Especially fond of turning naughty children into wooden puppets in his lunar lair, the Moon Bear King is a classic fairy tale villain, equal parts rage and insecurity, the kind of character who lurks in kids' minds long after their bedtime stories have ended. Whatever you do, don't call him Little Bear.
A cut above
Kidnapped and imprisoned on the moon, you play a young boy named Kutaro who manages to outwit the mighty Moon Bear King. In order to give yourself a fighting chance against the Moon Bear King's army, you do what no one else dared: steal the tyrant's sacred Calibrus scissors. These let you deftly snip a path through this eerie world, do away the Moon Bear King's fearsome generals and solve ingenious puzzles.
Follow your head
Having your head chomped off by a power-mad bear would normally spell pretty bad news. If your name is Kutaro, however, it proves a minor inconvenience. Not only do you outfox the Moon Bear King and make off with his prized Calibrus, you are able to mix and match new heads giving you some unique perspectives essential for problem-solving. With a bit of resourcefulness, you'll achieve what the unfortunate souls before you failed to: beat the Moon Bear King, win back your freedom and savour this theatre-inspired journey.
Get ready for your starring role in the performance of a lifetime when Puppeteer launches in September 2013. Until then, make sure you stay up to date with all the news right here at eu.playstation.com and at PlayStation.Blog at blog.eu.playstation.com.
