Creating a Portable ID

Find out how to create your Portable ID on PlayStation Network.

The Portable ID is your calling card for PlayStation Network, comprising your favourite game, favourite format and your current mood amongst other things.

Follow this step-by-step guide to find out how to set one up.

1. Visit https://secure.eu.playstation.com/sign-in/

Sign in to PlayStation Network on your PC or transfer your existing eu.playstation.com account. If you are signing up to PlayStation for the first time, you can create a new account in a pop-up window. Once you have completed the process, you can close the window and sign in to PlayStation Network straight away.

2. Select My Games tab

3. Create Portable ID

Go to Set your preferences to update your Current mood, Favourite game, Favourite format and Favourite Theme. Once you have made your choice, click Update and the page will reload with a preview of your new Portable ID.

That's it. You can update your Portable ID as often as you like and we will be adding more options over time so make sure to check back for the latest developments.

Once you have created your Portable ID, you can display it on a number of websites online by using the codes provided in the Grab your codes section. Use the HTML code on the eu.playstation.com Forums by editing your signature field, and the BB code for any other community site.
