Your opinion counts as Swedish developer The Bearded Ladies Consulting invites you to be part of its latest project.
If you've ever wanted to make your own game, a new initiative launching on PlayStation on 18 February 2011 will provide you with a fascinating insight into the world of game development.
The Bearded Ladies Consulting, maker of quirky PlayStation 3 download title Landit Bandit, is hard at work on its latest project. The new, as yet unnamed, game will be a minis title and it will launch during 2011.
And this is where you come in. Invoking the spirit of bedroom based developers the world over and starting on 18 February 2011, you can shape how the game turns out. Each week there will be a new challenge for you to take on, ranging from level design to brainstorming around the boss character.
Anyone can submit ideas via the official PlayStation Forums at community.eu.playstation.com and each week the best ones will be posted at facebook.com/TheBeardedLadies where a public vote will decide which idea is used. If your idea makes it through to the final game, your name will be added to the end credits, ensuring bragging rights and a possible first step on the game development career ladder.
All contributions are welcome, whether they be text or graphic based, and feel free to post additional suggestions – who knows, if they prove popular enough and can be slotted in, The Bearded Ladies Consulting will do its best to add them in and credit you accordingly.
Bear in mind that once you post your ideas on the official PlayStation Forums, they can be used by The Bearded Ladies Consulting or anyone else, so if your idea is secret and you want to keep it that way, then you should consider keeping it to yourself.
