Enter the ring and prepare for the fight of your life – Mortal Kombat is coming out swinging on PlayStation Vita.
The world's deadliest beat 'em up tournament has arrived on the world's most powerful portable system. Mortal Kombat on PlayStation Vita is taking the fight on the move with a brilliant variety of unique features which are sure to put some spice into your strike.
Mortal mayhem
True to the essence of the Mortal Kombat series, developer NetherRealm Studios wants to create a fighting game with no compromises. This portable beat 'em up packs the impressive punch of its older sibling, featuring the full roster of characters and costumes - including all the downloadable content - from the PlayStation 3 version.
So if you want to go on a rampage with Rain or trade blows with Freddy Krueger, you'll have the chance from the very moment you start playing. And with its full story mode, varied arenas and the ability to go online to take on your friends via PlayStation Network, Mortal Kombat is a feature rich fight to the finish that goes toe-to-toe with anyone's expectations of what a portable beat 'em up can do. The game isn't finished with you yet, though - there's more...
Brutal bonuses
Even if you're familiar with Mortal Kombat on PS3, this PS Vita version has a few tricks up its bloodstained sleeve. On top of some exclusive bonuses and features, Mortal Kombat puts the PS Vita system's unique features to brilliant use.
If you're finding the comprehensive controls a little tricky to pull off your favourite finishing moves, you can use the PS Vita system's touchscreen to swipe the required input and eliminate your opponent. It's an intuitive addition that adds a new dimension to Mortal Kombat's infamous Fatalities. Other moves are also placed on the touchscreen, making it easier than ever to dish out punishment on your foes.
The Challenge Tower also has a few enjoyable twists to its format. There are 150 new missions to tackle, with some inventive ways to keep you on your toes. For example, Vertigo flips the combat arena at random moments, forcing you to physically shake the PS Vita system to return the arena back to normal.
More motion sensing modes come into play with You've Got The Power, where tilting the PS Vita system also tips the fighting arena. If you're on higher ground than your opponent, you're granted strength and speed bonuses.
There are even more imaginative gameplay surprises awaiting you in Mortal Kombat on PS Vita - so make sure you keep reading eu.playstation.com and blog.eu.playstation.com for the latest on this unmissable brawler.
