The votes are in – find out which PS3 games the PlayStation Community has enjoyed the most over the past five years.

To celebrate five years of incredible home entertainment, we asked you to tell us what your favourite PlayStation 3 games have been since the system launched in Europe on 23 March 2007.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

It was inevitable that this epic adventure from Naughty Dog would be one of the most popular PlayStation 3 titles. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves raised the bar for cinematic experiences and gameplay.

"It's tough when there are so many greats, but I have to choose the spectacular Uncharted 2: Among Thieves." (RShuker)

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

The third title in the Uncharted series, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception sees Nathan Drake embark on another incredible adventure - this time, in the Middle East. Ready yourself for a stunning quest like no other.

"Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception raises the bar on every level with its spectacular voice acting, graphics, motion capture, story, gameplay, music, character development and more as it all blends together to create one seamless masterpiece." (Mitchjay92)

God of War III

Kratos gave an impressive performance in the action-packed God of War III. Epic boss battles, intricate puzzles and an unforgettable quest to the top of Mount Olympus helped put this title in the top ten.

"The best graphics, gameplay, story, characters, pacing, set pieces, boss fights, art style and music for PS3 by miles." (A-HBX)

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

One of the older titles in the top ten, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has truly stood the test of time, proving just as popular today as it did when it released in 2008.

"My crown goes to Metal Gear Solid 4 - a solid game in its own right and of epic proportions." (Caragorn_007-11)

Heavy Rain

Plunges into a captivating tale where your decisions shape the story. A thrilling yet emotional epic full of twists and turns, Heavy Rain is a unique experience that really challenges you to think about your actions.

"When Heavy Rain starts you can feel instantly that this isn't just a regular game. I was on the edge of my seat and really empathised with the characters." (d1capo)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Bigger and better than ever before, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 arrived on PS3 in November 2011 and has proven to be one of the most popular first person shooter titles around.

"Even though it was only recently released, there are still new maps and missions coming and it just rocks." (greensmoker)

Gran Turismo 5

Stunning, incredible and the most realistic driving experience you'll get in your living room, Gran Turismo 5 was an instant classic as soon as it hit the shelves in 2010.

"I bought my PS3 just because I wanted to play GT5." (y4yma)

Grand Theft Auto IV

Grand Theft Auto IV invites players into an open-world experience to explore the tough streets of Liberty City in a hard-hitting adventure.

"It took open-world games to a whole new level and created something that no GTA title had done before, a character that people could relate to and understand." (Max0895)

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

This fast-paced action adventure title was PlayStation fans' first introduction to Nathan Drake - a character that would go on to be one of the most popular in the history of PS3.

"It's got to be Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for me. It was not only brutal in difficulty, but had a gripping storyline to boot, filled with twists and turns." (DjRalford)

Assassin's Creed

An epic historical adventure series was born when Assassin's Creed launched on PlayStation 3 in November 2007. You control an ancient assassin, along with his modern-day ancestor in an open world packed with ruthless battles and stunning scenery.

"Assassin's Creed is just THE Game." (nowormnoparty)
