Top Tips: The Unfinished Swan

PS3™

Enhance with

Make other players marvel at your beautiful moves in The Unfinished Swan with these great tips from developer Giant Sparrow.

Need a bit of guidance in the wonderfully unique PlayStation 3 adventure game, The Unfinished Swan? Giant Sparrow has some pointers to give your skills a touch more grace to glide across the game's beautiful locations.

Be careful with how much paint you use

Early in The Unfinished Swan, black paint will permanently cover any white object - which means the more paint you use, the less you'll be able to see.

Never look back

If you're stuck, try looking for hidden or unconventional paths in the current area. In The Unfinished Swan, you never need to backtrack to previous areas.

Hunt for balloons

There are a number of balloons hidden around the world. Hit them with a paint ball to release them. Balloons can be used to buy toys on the pause menu, and these toys give you different abilities.

Get the Balloon Radar early

If you're trying to find every balloon, buy the Balloon Radar from the toy menu early on. It will tell you how close you are to secret balloons that you might have otherwise missed.

Don't be afraid to experiment

There is no penalty for experimentation, no limited resources and no lost progress when you die. When it's not immediately obvious what to do, keep trying. You may succeed with your second or third guess.

Look for letters

There are a number of storybook pages hidden around the world that look at first like a single capital letter, but reveal themselves fully when splatted. Some are more hidden than others, so keep an eye out for obscure walls that might have a letter on them.

Keep an ear to the ground

Listen to the environment around you, it might lead you to new creatures or details that you may have missed.

Play with a friend

The Unfinished Swan is full of details that you might miss during your first play through, so enjoying it with a friend can be fun and rewarding. Give it a try.

Better a second time

The Unfinished Swan is designed like a storybook and you can jump around to any part that you've previously played. Feel free to take a break whenever you want, as you can always revisit parts later on.

How to tackle the final boss...

Relax, we're just kidding - there's no boss.

Ready to put these tips into action? Download The Unfinished Swan from PlayStation Store to your PS3 today.
