Who's watching your back?

Combining huge open environments, daredevil acrobatics and vehicle based stunts, Damnation takes the shooter vertical. Set in a fictional steam-punk era influenced by the American Civil War, players become hero Captain Hamilton Rourke and embark on an immersive journey of revenge in a country ravaged by an apocalyptic war.

Taking advantage of Rourke's incredible dexterity, players are challenged to negotiate their own path through Damnation's open, epic and vertigo inducing levels. With miles of awe-inspiring landscapes flooded by enemies, players scale imposing buildings, leap across chasms and engage in spectacular gunfights against ruthless, intelligent AI who will hunt down Rourke and his fellow Peacemakers, attacking from all angles.

They can choose to plot precise attacks using Damnation's unique Spirit Vision to unveil hidden enemies or steam in all guns blazing, taking charge of a range of unique vehicles, from wall-riding motorbikes to steam-punk inspired armoured trikes.

Utilising the unique scale and height of Damnation's environments, multiplayer provides deathmatch and capture the flag, complimented by innovative new game modes. Up to eight players engage in thrilling shoot-outs where firepower and agility combine in beautiful maps where players can kill or be killed from any direction. Seamlessly blending action, strategy and combat, Damnation delivers a breathtaking and frenetic gaming experience.

• Use Spirit Vision to locate allies and enemies

• Wield an array of powerful steam-punk inspired weaponry

• Do battle in frenetic multiplayer matches

Story

Locate and capture

The Fireteam are back in a brand new and thrilling mission. Alexander Gozorov is an ex-KGB agent who does not want to be found. With links to the Russian mafia, he has eradicated everyone who has been sent to capture him. With the belief that Gozorov holds information on a major imminent attack against the West, time is running out, so you and your four man team of hardened US Navy troops must embark on a dangerous mission to track down and capture him.

Developed in conjunction with military Special Forces, Fireteam Bravo 3 is the next chapter in the acclaimed series that lets you lead your team on an action-packed hunt for weapons of mass destruction and one tough target. Supported by three computer controlled teammates with an array of tactical and stealth manoeuvres at your disposal, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 promises to be the most thrilling instalment in the series yet. Have you got what it takes to lead your men to victory?

Your mission starts here.

No one is left behind

Gameplay

No one is left behind

As you play through the game you will wield and upgrade a huge variety of weapons, each of which have four separate slots to add new abilities to, including stocks, scopes and suppressors coupled with under-barrels. However, you need to be careful because kitting out your weapon with too many enhancements can result in a cumbersome firearm. This will then slow you and your team down and could result in fatal consequences in the heat of battle. You can also customise your teammates' weaponry, so be sure to equip everyone on your squad with the requisite firepower before each mission.

Fireteam Bravo 3 also features a command system which gives you complete control over your squad and how they react in battle. When assessing a situation you can choose to tell your squad to hold their position while you scout ahead and perform stealth takedowns. You can also order them to engage any enemies on sight, carve a path to your goal through swathes of enemy troops or even defer their attack until you give the final word.

Other stellar ways to plan your attack include ordering your men to barge through a door of a building while you lie in wait for any enemies trying to escape the attack. However, because SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 is developed with the US Naval Special Warfare Command there is one rule you must stick to in each mission: leave no man behind. So always be mindful of fallen comrades and revive them as soon as they are downed, otherwise it will cost you the mission.

Leader of the pack

SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 3 features a wealth of additional content to get to grips with including custom missions where you can replay any of the assignments you have already completed but reconfigure them to suit your needs. For example, you can decide how many enemies will appear on the map, how hard it will play out, what your enemies will look like and the type of mission you will be engaging in. The harder the mission, the greater the reward, which is translated into Command Equity points that can be used to unlock new add-ons and multiplayer costumes.

The game also features addictive four player co-operative play where you and three friends or other SOCOM fans from around the world on PlayStation Network can tackle online missions in Infrastructure Mode.

There are also Infrastructure Mode and Ad Hoc Mode competitive missions for up to 16 players featuring five different styles of play including deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag and demolition where the goal is to simply destroy everything with high powered explosives. Lastly, Leader mode sees you and your squad battle to keep one key member in your team alive. Fail to do so, and the mission is over.
