1. Pieces of the puzzle
The puzzles are the soul of the game. With over 60 brain-teasers of varying difficulty to solve, it's a challenging and fun adventure. In Geronimo Stilton: The Return to the Kingdom of Fantasy The Videogame you find all kinds of new and improved challenges compared to Geronimo Stilton in the Kingdom of Fantasy The Videogame, such as mazes, quiz games and logic puzzles. We also wanted to deliver moments of tension and danger, where kids can test their reflexes in exciting platform levels.
2. Embarking on a great quest
In the game, you'll help the mousey journalist on a dangerous mission to find the true Heart of Happiness. To accomplish this feat, you must travel through the kingdom's six lands: The Kingdom of Fairies, The Land of the Ogres, The Land of Sweets, The Land of Toys, The Land of Gold and, finally, the Land of Fairy Tales.
3. Sneaky secrets
Although the game contains 62 puzzles, two of them can only be played if you are able to complete the game.
4. Getting around
In Geronimo Stilton: The Return to the Kingdom of Fantasy The Videogame you can directly control Geronimo through the platform levels. And thanks to a special magnifying glass tool, our fearless detective can explore lots of different places and search for objects like crystal keys. The Kingdom of Fantasy is also full of fun characters that Geronimo can talk to and interact with.
5. Musical magic
Every situation, puzzle and exciting moment of the adventure is accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack. We developed almost 70 musical fragments - compared to the 40 in the previous game - which is the equivalent to an hour and a half of melodies.
6. Your opinion matters
Virtual Toys closely followed the many online forums where players discussed the game, its puzzles and how to solve them. This small field study helped us to design new puzzles based on the users' opinions. The result is that puzzles are much more fun - we always have kids' enjoyment in mind.
7. The strongest is... the wisest
Although the game includes many levels where children have to use their skill to control Geronimo, the real challenge is left to their brain power. We were keen to create a title that makes children think and reflect, avoiding all forms of violence at all times while making it as entertaining as possible for both them and parents.
8. Delightful designs
Some of the characters' appearances in the game look very different to their initial designs, as you can see here in the case of the Merchant of the Kingdom of the Fairies.
The cover also went through several changes until we decided on the official one.
9. Did you know...?
At the Virtual Toys office there is a leader board where the team entered their top scores in some of the game's puzzles.
10. Big cheese
Throughout development, the game's producer forced the whole team to eat cheese balls so they could identify with Geronimo better!
